Who We Are
We love to dance. We love to teach dance. We don't like stress. We love to have fun!
Since 2010, Dreamlight Studio has been offering fun and exciting, low-pressure dance classes. We strive to provide a safe and friendly environment for students of all ages to explore and develop their passion for dance and the performing arts. We believe in creating a learning atmosphere free from competition and comparison, and therefore we offer no competitive classes at our studio. At Dreamlight, there is something for everyone! In addition to group dance classes, we also offer private one-on-one lessons in dance and acting, wedding dance instruction, birthday party packages, Christian worship dance, and more.

We're at 230 Anchor Road #6 on the East Hamilton Mountain. In 2017, Dreamlight underwent renovations, expanding to become a two studio room facility. Each dance room has proper professional-grade dance flooring and is equipped with fixed ballet barres and full wall-length mirrors. Both rooms are also free from any beams / support structures anywhere on the dancefloor, making them even safer to dance in.
What Makes the Dreamlight Dance Experience Different:
- Affordability & Small Commitment. You should not need to "break-the-bank" in order to enjoy the complete dance experience, nor should you be forced to enroll a 3 year old child with ever-changing interests for an entire year upfront! One-time registration fee is only $20+HST. Group classes are only $48+HST/month. We offer a month-to-month payment and commitment option. We also offer discounts to siblings & students who take multiple classes.
- No Recital Participation Fee & Costumes are $45 (or less)! While many studios charge $70 or more for recital costumes, Dreamlight does not. Also, there is no recital participation fee and only those students wishing to participate in the June year-end recital will need to purchase a costume. Recital tickets for spectators are typically only $10+HST, with no minimum purchase required.
- Small Class Sizes. Each and every student deserves to receive the instructor's attention. Tiny Tots & Tutu & Tiara Classes have a maximum of 6-8 students and other classes have a maximum of 10-12 students, depending on exact ages enrolled.
- No Class Uniforms. You are not required to buy specific makes / brands / colours of dancewear. Clothing requirements vary by class (i.e. ballet classes should have leotards, hip-hop classes should wear activewear / comfortable clothing), but you will always be free to purchase these items wherever you wish and in whatever colour, style, or brand you wish! Forgot your dancewear at home? It happens! As long as what you're wearing is safe, you'll still be more than welcome to attend class.
- Wholesome. We only use clean, appropriate music, choreography, and costumes in all of our classes and recitals. This is very important to us! We want parents to feel that their children are safe when they drop them off at dance class.
- Parents Can Watch. One studio room has a closed circuit camera attached to the TV in the lobby and the other studio room has a viewing window so parents can watch the fun as much as they want and in a setup where they will not distract the students. (NOTE: COVID/capacity restrictions may affect ability to watch at times.)
- Private Lessons. Our one-on-one lesson options allow for students to progress faster, in a program that has been customized just for them! Also great for adults and those who prefer to learn in private.
- Drama Free. No competitive classes of any sort are offered at our studio. This keeps the learning atmosphere fun and relaxed. It also prevents students from feeling like they're not good enough if they don't "make the team." This also keeps the cost of dancing way down.
The Dream Team
Meet our primary staff. We also have extended dance family members that you may meet now and again too!
